Crock Pot Turkey Wings Recipe
This recipe is extremely easy. Crock pot recipes are great in the cold winter months, but they help keep the house cooler in the summer, too. There is no need to turn on the oven. Rinse four turkey wings (or 2 turkey legs) and pat dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle them liberally with Seasonest Soul Food seasoning using about ½ teaspoon for each. Arrange the turkey on a rack inside the crock pot. It isn’t absolutely necessary to use a rack, but it makes it easier for removal. Drizzle olive oil over the wings. Turn the crock pot on low and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Remove the turkey and serve.
Use the drippings in the bottom of the crock for gravy. Whisk 3 tablespoons of white flour into the drippings to make a roux. Transfer the roux to a small pot and heat until it bubbles. Slowly add 1 cup of water while whisking until smooth. Add more water if it is too thick. Remember, when you need the best spices for turkey, think Seasonest!
