Seasonest Poultry Seasoning for the Juiciest Grilled Chicken Ever

Poultry seasoning is usually just sprinkled on chicken parts and then you bake them in the oven at 375. Well, there is another way. You’ll never just sprinkle another chicken once you taste this tender, juicy, falling off the bone, caramelized dry rub chicken.

Poultry Seasoning

Seasonest’s Soul Food Poultry Seasoning is a proprietary blend of the freshest organic, non-GMO herbs and spices. And it is perfect for this recipe. You’ll be turning this poultry seasoning into a dry rub bonanza.

The first step is to brine a whole chicken then pat it down with paper towels. You want it still moist, but not soaking wet.

Mix about 1/3rd cup of Seasonest Soul Food Poultry Seasoning with 6 tablespoons of table sugar. Mix well and then liberally apply to your chicken. Get the seasoning up under the skin, in the cavity and all over the chicken – front and back. Use your hands to rub it right into the flesh and skin.

When you dry rub a chicken, you want to use a lot of it. This isn’t like sprinkling a little spice on top. This is serious barbequing. The dry rub spices will seal the juices into the chicken as it creates a bit of a crust or “bark” as it is called. This is what makes it all amazing.

Place your whole chicken boobs down in a good roasting pan and bake it at 250 degrees for about 3 hours. You’ll know when it is done because the chicken leg will be very loose when you wiggle it. It might even fall apart in your hand.

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes then slice and serve.

Cooking chicken using Soul Food Poultry Seasoning from Seasonest for a dry rub is the best way to cook a chicken. You will never just lightly dust a bird again.
